I didn't think you found scoters north of Grampian at this time of year. I guess it's possible, but seems unlikely. Eiders in winter plumage, maybe?

loki, interesting name for a raven,must be a mischevious one, i would have thought that thought and memory were more likely names, having fun in the snow, reminds me of wagga wagga a crow that stayed with me for a while,
