does anyone have any idea what the lyrics to "Scott's A Dork" mean? it just doesn't make ANY FUCKING sense! the verses and the chorus seem like they're about 2 different things.....

secondly, i think you might be reading way too much into a RBF song... but your right, i'm sure there is a logical explanation, maybe they couldn't come up with a chorus so they thought they'd just throw in some random shit to make people like you and me over analyze it.

I read an interview with Aaron and Scott like a billion years ago...
they had a bunch of temporary lyrics in there...
the entire sections

"When I say I give up it just means I'm going to try again
She loves me and I love everyone
I was kissin' her but she was wishing it was him
She loves me and I love everyone (uh uh uh uh)"
and
"They told her (they told her)
About you and me
She's mad now (she's mad now)
But she'll get over it"

...were totally non existant before they got into the studio
It was all filler stuff with the same melody.
So the last couple lines that were there from when they originally wrote the song were the "Scott's a Dork" lines, they couldn't think of anything that would fit as well that had to do with the subject matter, so "Scott's a dork" stayed

I always thought that was one of the coolest things about RBF though.
