The gulls

Jan 15, 2007 13:44

I live about 2 and an half miles from the water, so we see gulls, but rarely many, and I rarely hear them. But just now a bunch of them (dare I say a flock of sea gulls?) were screaching, crying for a full five minutes. It was like the pier at Coronado after sunrise. Loud and insistent and sad out there.

was a sailor man. Lived in sandy eggo for 5 years and my pops fished the pier all the time. He caught a lobster in a crab trap off the pier once. It was yummy goodness!

That sounds like a tough move. From environmental beauty to make-up beauty? That's my take as a woman who has become accustomed to the shapeless layers and make-up free normalcy of the PNW. No glamor here. Not in the environment or the people. It is beautiful, though. Just not flashy beautiful.
