So, I waxed my legs a couple of weeks ago for the first time (at least the first time since the mid 90's) and the hair is beginning to show again just a wee bit, but my legs seriously look like plucked chickens. Very unattractive to scrutinize. I tried waxing them again, but the stuff that looks like pulled feathers is too short for the wax to ( Read more... )

You definitely have to let the hair grow out -- probably 1/4 inch. Not sure why they would recommend waxing every day -- ouch!

Yeah, I thought the deal was that you were supposed to wait until the hair was about a quarter-inch before you waxed again. In fact, my wax strips say do not rewax until there is substantial new growth, and to definitely not rewax even during the same week.

What kind of wax are you using?

> The box says I can wax daily

Lies, all lies! You have to wait an average of 3-6 weeks for the new hair to grow out long enough to wax again. I'd give your poor leggies a few days to rest from the abrasion, then shave with a really sharp new blade & plenty of shaving cream.

The goal here, was to appear to be relatively hairless. If I have to let the hair grow out, does that not defeat the purpose? Also, I can't seem to get all the little hairs - I was hoping that frequent redo's would solve this problem. Damnit, there simply is no good hair removal system!! What is wrong with this world!!

I'm using some hooey thing I got at Whole Paycheck. Parisa. It's tree sap or some damned thing.

Is there a non-=natural version that works better?
