Christmas is such an awesome holiday. I admit I'm partial to Easter in the end, but I enjoy the Christmas season better. I also like Christmas eve better than Christmas Day because I love going to Chruch then going to my Godparents for cookies and presents. On the way home we always look at christmas lights. Then we drink hot chocolate and wrap

I think I'm partial to Easter too. I never used to be. I mean, there's a reason the cliche is "like a little kid at Christmas" rather than the same thing w/ Easter. Now, however...Christmas has begun to annoy me. I mean, everybody wanders around singing "it's the most wonderful time of the year", most pretending to be happy, and few ppl really meditate on Christmas for what it really means. When I was younger, my parents were hard core into advent and I squirmed through every night of it. Now that I'm mature enough to appreciate it, seems like we're always too busy to do it. Anyway, all this to say I think the "descent" into lent and subsequent rejoicing on Easter morn is a much less commercialized preparation for the real meaning of Easter, and allows for deeper meditation. The fact that you're not required to buy gifts for the entirety of the known world probably helps things too
