Not sure I've ever been more emotionally wrecked over the state of our country. Why are we even talking about Don't Ask, Don't Tell? Not to mention VOTING to NOT discuss repealing it? This should be a no-brainer and we should be moving on to other things! I mean, how can THIS country under our constitution in this era & age think its okay to ask

I know exactly how you feel. This country angers me. It also makes me hopeful. It will get passed eventually. So will gay marriage. Big change will take time and progress will come. But yes, I'm totally with you on the anger part.

your boss' words are inspirational. trying not to lose hope that some good things will come from this shit economy that many of us have been working hard to contribute to for years and years... difficult to not be discouraged, but like your boss i guess we have to try to step outside the situation and take a look at the big picture. what a brilliant thing to say.
