actually they are thoughts scattered throughout the week, so this is probably only half of them. maybe i need to start carrying one of those recorders so i can record random thoughts, as well as where i parked.

sun eve is *not* a good time (for me) for kids to do the "switch." we have a nice homemade meal. they try to pretend they're eating more ( Read more... )

am i getting less tolerant of people? i waited for j outside the mall today and watched people waddle out of the restaurant at the entrance. also watched worthless t.v. with j on a girls' fat camp and there was so much whining i made him change the channel. where is the dignity? where is the appreciation that we, as a nation, are one of the most fortunate there is, with the most opportunities to succeed...achieve...be healthy...help others...and yet it seems we are a growing nation of overweight, excuse-laden, passionless whiners.I am agreed completely with you on that. I have a "friend" on my LJ whom I'd love to nuke off my list because she's exactly one of those fat, whiny, unmotivated persons who can do much to change her life for the better but won't do a damn thing about it-- and continuously whines and cries for attention via her posts. I'm so sick and tired of it and people like her. Everytime I read one of her posts, I think, "my god she's wasting her life and knows it, but won't do a damn thing about it." Sheesh. I don't think it's a lack of compassion. I think we react more out of frustration with these people.

I think that for those of us who are proactive about our lives do so because we're taking up responsibility. I think it comes down to that. Those whiners and complainers don't want to face reality or the responsibility of taking their own lives or desitny in their own hands. From reading your posts, I know you've been through shit, and so have I. Life dishes it out when you least expect it-- but we deal with it, we identify what it is and make efforts to rectify those problems so we can do our best to cope. Sometimes it's difficult, but at least we try instead of whimpering about it. I just loathe people who bitch about how life sucks when they have the power in themselves to do something about it. It's like they become addicted to being miserable and crave sympathy and attention-- instead of taking advice, looking into themselves or seeking help to change things.

BAW-- LOL, sounds like a great idea for a new LJ group!!!
