Unlike you, she has been dreaming about this since she was little, while you were pulling fly's wings off or whatever destructive crap boys do.
um, not every girl dreams of this day. when Carter proposed i told him right away that i don't want to plan a big wedding. reason being i had NO IDEA what to do! people kept asking questions about it and i shrugged my shoulders in response. hence the eloping, i had no clue what i wanted, all i knew was that i wanted to be with him and be happy.
but who cares, your wedding was beautiful and touching and i freaking bawled my eyes out! and i loved the traditional outfits, they rocked so hard! thanks for having us, it was a pleasure and an honor to share in both your day!
I was speaking more generally about a lot of women, and personally of Cate. I think circumstances certainly would vary individual to individual, and I'm sure there are plenty of women who didn't play with Barbies and dream of Mr. Right. My point stands though, that it isn't really about the groom. Most guys could do without a ceremony altogether, their loss in my mind. It was a blast!
I had no clue about all this wedding stuff, thankfully Cate did.
oh, don;t get me wrong! i played with Barbies until i was 12 and dreamed of Mr Right. but in my fantasies, there was never a wedding, just a big boat and tropical islands, sandy beaches and the knowledge that the man i loved loved me back in equal measure and would always be there for me. i guess i'm just not into details or something.
but back to your point, yes it is about the bride, cos it's her vision come to life. that's why the guys all dress the same, they just sorta blend into the background! :p
it was a blast, for sure. and SO MUCH FOOOOOD! halfway through that dinner i had to stop cos i was stuffed! i had no more room, barely enough for cake.
