We've been adopted by a stray kitty. A week ago my hubby called me urgently to the porch to show me a cat sleeping under the grill. A mellow cat, it turned out. A stealthy cat. The cat stayed all day and eventually my kids went out and befriended it. They named it, they wanted it, and of course I told them no because the cat clearly had a home

Oh dear--tricky kitty! I suppose it's possible that she may go through another personality shift in time. My cat Coco was affectionate as a kitten, then spent about five years wanting nothing more than to be left alone, and is now back to being interested in leg-rubbing and purring and visiting me in bed before I get up in the morning...

I posted a picture of her in a new post. She is an orange kitty and we are an orange family. Both my girls and I have red/ish hair. So this cat felt destined for us. Or we are the most vain humans alive. Probably we are. But we didn't figure that out until she had conquered us completely. :)
