I won't say this on Facebook but I find the depictions of Roger Ebert rejoining Gene Siskel in heaven a little annoying. As though, out of all the people who have ever lived, Roger Ebert would want to be reunited with Gene Siskel? Seriously? What about his family? What about his parents, his teachers, his .... Article in the paper about how the folks in New York whose homes were damaged by Hurricane Sandy are coping with no heat during this terribly cold snap. It has been very cold. But my question is: hasn't it been cold since October? How have these people been functioning with no heat for months and months? What the hell? -

What is it about the air this time of year that makes you want to beat the dust out of it? Listen people, try whenever possible not to be born on Christmas, okay? Just avoid it altogether. Because if you do, you will not only be depriving yourself of your own holiday and cache of deserved giftery, but you will eventually have loved ones who will insist on making you a cake or some such on your birthday because they feel sorry for you ( Read more... )
