I would write a very long and big reply to this post, because... you know me: I just can't keep my mouth shut regarding certain topics.
But I will because I got incredibly sad while reading your post; everything you said it's true. And yet, there's really nothing we can do except speak our minds.

Because, you know? Ideas, thoughts...feelings like yours are like baloons. People, especially those whose interests might be in danger, will try hard enough to grab that baloon and feed it to the dogs. But you and I know that as long as you let go, the baloon will fly away and it will be no longer ours; it'll belong to the world. Ideas cannot be killed, even if we can.
