T minus 2 days and counting...

We're two days out from Tournament of the Lily and I feel like building an ark to get us there. And we're not even at "ground zero" (Hi Hrothny!) like many of our friends in Tidewater are. (You guys be careful down there, OK?) There's only a 20% chance of rain on Saturday, but the site is likely to be wet and probably muddy

The list field area itself is crowned, so the water should run off of it for the most part. I'm hoping conditions won't be too bad. (The merchants' field is sparsely covered in grass, I don't think it will fare as well.)

If we can swim out of here, I'm seriously considering coming as a Mongol...except the invasion was solidily 13th century (as the last one) so that won't work. But it would have meant I could have worn trous. And tall boots.

You all have fun. I know you will but I'm wishing it in your direction to add to the weight of it. It will be a fine event and thank goodness, the rain is supposed to pass tomorrow, right, so we'll have one day of field-drying before the tourney.

I'll be wearing velvet and rain boots. I had not been planning to wear a belt, but it may become a requirement to keep the skirts up.

I promise we will not notice clutter, or crumbs, or messes of any kind. We live with a four year old. Your house will porbably feel like a 5-star hotel.

Had to soak my fingers in hot water last night from the marathon fur sewing....

Yeah, but you have a full time job and other projects to do. It's all good.

My fingers were ouchy too, from sewing the fur. I'm really glad I didn't try to put fur around the hem! Yours will look stunning though!

Me too - I got a refill for my lint roller! I'll bring it with me tomorrow, if you need it. Bunny fur everywhere!
