Sick and tired of the suffocating tension at home, Luciano attempted to finally make things right between the de León twins - by dragging Emi out of the apartment, thus continuing her cycle of not talking to Juanita. Because, honestly, he chickened out of his original idea of forcing the two to sit down and talk just as he spotted Emi cutting an apple in the kitchen.
Believing Luciano's lie of wanting to spend more "quality time" with her, Emi allowed herself, albeit reluctantly, to be dragged into this sudden need for bonding.
First stop? Book Alley.
They didn't get it. At all.
Then, Luciano spotted the children's section. Aside from his creepy enthusiasm, Emi did always have a soft spot for children and cute things, so off they went.
And it was fine at first...until they ran into a few, uh, interesting reads.
Cue immature snickering - from both of them. Followed by a dirty look from a nearby mother and her howling child.
"Emi, look! Doesn't it remind you of a va-"
She decided it was best to leave before Luciano got them kicked up out.
Next stop? Celeste Bakery. Time to indulge her love of French desserts.
She totally made Luci buy her two chocolate mille-feuilles.
After some impromptu
karaoke in front of Ritmo y Sabor: Discoteca (in which Emi found out that Luciano should never, ever, be allowed to rap in Spanish), they called it quits and went home in order to start on dinner.
Some three hours later (because good pozole deserves the damn time, damn it!) and Emi felt pretty content...
Until she saw her brother's face.
So for the rest of the night, she went back to locking herself in her room with Nene and online telenovela marathons as company.
So close, Luciano, so close.
{OOC: And there you have the random crap Deni and I come up with after stumbling upon hilariously titled children's books in Little Tokyo -
like this.}
