ITA about SW. I enjoyed parts of it, but overall the directing was heavy handed, there were too many (stupid and useless) subplots and characters I did not like. I was disappointed. Luke better be back, like Yoda.
I enjoyed Dr. Who and am sad to see Peter and Pearl go, but I am really looking forward to 13!
And the X Files. IDK. I always found it hard to believe that Wm was Mulder's son. We'll just have to see how it plays out, I guess.
Good point about Kylo Ren. I have no idea how he's come to be descended from Han and Leia. I mean, Han was pretty brave and Leia's a freaking boss. Maybe the communication problems between Luke and Kylo/Ben during the latter's training kinda helped me to see how Kylo ended up being such an idiot, but really everything Kylo does annoys me at this stage. Even the way he holds his sword... he kind of hides behind it.
He is a tantrum throwing baby. That is an excellent description.
At least he saved Rey from the creepy Supreme Leader, got to say that for him. And he fought well back to back with Rey.
I did enjoy the film. I just don't understand why people go to the dark side. Stupidity seems to be the main reason.
The farewell scene between Luke and Leia made my eyes totally water.
I haven't seen XFiles.
Looking forward to Jumanji! :D Although I'm going to see The Post tomorrow, fingers crossed.
I thought it was great! Really laugh out loud funny and (although I'd don't know anything about gaming), very involving. It was quite touching too - the first sighting of the dad of the guy who disappeared into the game, the way the jock character said he'd been trying to shake off the nerd character, the epilogue. I thought the writing was really good and the plot was great fun. I saw it with my 14 year old gamer niece and we both enjoyed it immensely.
