Grocery store delis put me in a very specific bind from time to time. You see, they only seem to offer sandwiches in two varieties: pitifully small and muy gigante. i'll have to second the boundary issues inherent in the typical EMT social makeup. i once lived with one, the brother of my other (chosen) roommate. he was studying to be a paramedic at the time and would occasionally tape photos, notes, and copies of textbook pages up around the house (presumably as a study aid). whatever it takes to drill the material into your head, i'm for. if i'm ever in accident, i want to be damn sure my paramedic Knows Their Shit. but there is an outer threshold to the amount of exposure the typical layperson can stand...
like, photos. polaroids. from his job as an EMT. with notes describing whatever the hell they were studying in class at the time. gory graphic detail with a clinical and sanitary footnote underneath.
