Triumphs of the weekend

I am definitely enjoying it, except the bit where the fabric refuses to stay still when you're measuring it.

I did spend one afternoon starting to get to know my new sewing machine, but I'm still afraid of it.

Rice bags are very easy to make. One important tip: don't use a dark fabric for the outer bag. I used to have a purple rice bag, and it stained my bedsheets blue.

Ooh, I never thought of that. Still, anything that's in my rag bag has been washed quite a lot already, so I should be OK with this one.
