i think to feel emotions takes practice... if you spend every night of your life hanging out with friends and then suddenly have to spend a few alone, you feel like shit... and its not necessarily because you are depressed, but rather because your emotions are not easy to interpret... you haven't practiced this emotional scenario and the feelings that come with it enough. even when people go on vacation and experience these crazy highs it still feels good to come home. same is true for emotions... you go out and do something different and it might be great, but then when you come home, rather, come back to the emotional norm (whatever situation you are emtionally comfortable in) you feel safe, comfortable, ok, sound. but take away the highs, the stimulation, the comfort, the stability and damn it all, pretty easy to confuse that with depression.

confusing unknown emotions with depression.

i've been alright. summer is coming... been out on the bike a lot (TIME TO RACE!!!). how are you? going to the vineyard this summer?
