The bathroom project - or why my water bill was $200 this month

We have been very slowly, glacier-like even, doing improvements to our house.  Generally our motivation is for personal use, but if the future sale value increases, then great.   However as any homeowner knows, the process builds upon itself.  Buying a hot tub means you need to build a deck to put it on.  Which also means shelving for the towels, ( Read more... )

Oh man, I must show this to Patrick. This is why my dad rarely did plumbing installations himself. He may be a MAN! but he didn't have any training as a plumber.

billy and i both enjoyed reading this (sorry). I can only imagine what would have happened here had he tried the same project. The sarcasm possible from the oldest child might just be worth it LOL

It might have cost you half of the water bill.

but, *sigh* no beers and no comedic relief.

I especially liked the retelling when you got to the spider webbed shut off valve.... hmmm. you really do love that house, don't you?
