We have taken a breather on home improvement projects for the moment.  Still a few things we need to get done (painting, replace carpets) in addition to the gutters and finishing that bathroom.  Our normal Modus Operandi is to visualize the finished project, estimate the cost, start it, watch the budget skyrocket, take a 6 month break in the middle

Foster ran the shower last night and neglected to shut the shower curtain all the way. The water leaked through our family room ceiling. This is what I get for snickering at your plumbing story. So I won't laugh at you anymore.
