We had horn sectional scheduled for tonight. I was really looking forward to it. We had finally gotten some new music for band, I was hoping to squeeze in one or two horn quartets for variety's sake -- we hadn't played any chamber music in a while -- and all for once all four of us were going to be able to make it. Well, we got him. The lesson for today is that catching your cat in the dark is ideally a two-person operation: one shines the flashlight from a distance, the other looks for the glowing eyes, makes friendly noises and doesn't carry the flashlight up close. My theory is that it spooks him by looking like some sort of enormous cyclopean eye.

Awww that is so nice about the baby shower! That's one of the many American traditions that somehow haven't been absorbed by the English yet, but it always sounds so much fun. And a good excuse to get presents (even if they're not for you!)

Ohhh, cats that run away into darkness when they're dark themselves are so irritating. They really do do it on purpose. I'm glad to see you got him back though. Was Radka ok with the ribbon in the end?
