Stupid dog breeds...let's see a mutt win Westminster ;) *L* Somehow I don't think I fit in with the dog show ppl, specifically b/c I do love my mutt and am partial to them. I can understand why people enjoy the dog show; it's really exciting to watch and learn more about different dog breeds. I'm just waiting for ppl to start trying to enter in Labradoodles, Cockapoos or any other trendy mix as a breed and then be told they have a mutt. But then, if I use that reasoning I could have a Shesky or a Huperd? :D

Anything "toy" tends to irk me. I don't quite know what to do with them. :P

I'm glad a Beagle won this year, but I pity the poor Humane Societies who'll eventually get a flood of Beagles from ppl who don't realize what the dog's like. Ah well...

As for your dream, you're still young! :) I'm sure you'll get there! *cheers*

Actually, Labradoodles and Cockapoos are getting close to being recognized by the AKC from the sounds of it. (I might be wrong tho.) But in order to be considered an actual dog breed rather than a trendy mutt mix is the fact that they have to be bred with others of the same breed. So they'd have to breed a labradoodle with a labradoodle for so many generations to even be considered.

Ugg...it wouldn't surprise me if they were, it just bugs me b/c like you said, it takes many generations for a breed to become a breed. Just seems that these trendy mixes are pushing for breed status awfully fast and ahead of established breeds that the AKC has yet to recognize. :/

And your icon is still hypnotic...back and forth...;)
