I went on a French immersion program the summer before junior year. It wasn't technically through the school, but the man who organized it all and chaperoned was the foreign language department head of the school district, so everyone that went from my town went to my high school. We lived with families in Nice and attended class at a french immersion school in Nice. We were the only americans there - most people there were other Europeans (many of them adults) whose main goal was to become fluent in french in a matter of weeks. Our goal was to have fun and get drunk a lot, lol. We did pick up quite a bit of french though. At the time i only knew one or two of the 14 people that went very well, but after the trip was over we were all very close and i am still extremely close with five or six of them. The trip to London was just the week before i went to Nice - my cousin lives there and my friends (becca's) former au pair lives there so the three of us took a week and saw the british sights before we headed to France.

Nice reunion in two years?
This time I'll stay out late to party (forget the bus, I'll walk back!)
