Cancer, stage 1 or 2.
Dad's likely to be quite well after either surgery, or surgery and chemo. They couldn't even FIND the cancer with the PET scans. So stage 1 is very likely, but they want to biopsy the nearby lymph nodes to make sure. If it hasn't spread at all, they will just do surgery and then keep an eye on things. If the lymph nodes don't look good, it's chemo
