Funny Phrases

Perhaps I work with odd folks, but there are some funny phrases which get used in this place.

Recent examples...
'We don't need to have a jamboree'
'It's a one eyed Bambi' (I have no eye dear)
'This stuff is as rare as rocking horse sh!t'.

Does anyone else get these kind of lingual gems from their co-workers?

I think I create them in my workplace. The phrase "compiaring apples and orranges" have been used a lot recently. So I came up with

"Apples and bricks" for times when really there is nothing what so ever in common.

And

"Cox's and braeburns" for times when actually they should only be a tiny bit different.

I used to work somewhere where one of the workers referred to places as 'the shanty', as in "It was all over the shanty"

I once startled my first post-Uni boss with the phrase "as much chance as a whelk in a supernova"

I've heard "rare as rocking-horse shit" before, though.

Was your boss startled because the question was "Will you be turning up on time from now on?"

No, it was "will this [program code] work?"
