When you ride a bike... do you wear a helmet?

I just got a bike, and I am sooooo resistent to wearing a helmet for reasons like... helmet hair and looking silly... but I know (logically) that it will protect my hard head from splattering open in the case of getting rammed by a car, or another bike.

Wear a helmet! It's like those Nike ads, just do it (swish). Helmet hair is an unavoidable side-effect. You're probably not going to look cool though, you are riding a bicycle after all, but you aren't going to look silly. The other choice is to not wear a helmet, and then you will simply look dumb.

If you would like to see a silly bicycle helmet please reference this wonderful helmet: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1069/1092564373_4be9a619e2.jpg

LMAO I love it :)

And I know I should, and probably will, wear one... it's just getting past that kid mentality of not wanting to do when your parents say.

Oh, is that all? Just ask your parents to tell you to not wear a helmet. That way you can wear a helmet, and still be a rebel!

Or maybe your head would be okay with a little dent. Like this teapot: http://www.artisticnippon.com/product/tokoname/tokonamepics/shuhodentitome3.jpg

Find a helmet that is cool looking, and that for sure you can wear reallllyyyy large sexy type sunglasses while riding. This should offset some of the goofiness of the helmet.

That's what I say! Accessorize! Accessorize! Accessorize!
