Question: SG-U Stargate, on Stargates and DHDs in general...

Last night, July 7th, Syfy Network premiered its new branding with a third teaser trailer for the upcoming series, Stargate: Universe (SG-U). Watching the trailer, embedded below, I had to ask myself a couple questions.

I was so happy to see spinning, I didn't really notice that the whole gate is spinning. Hmmm. weird. But at leat it's spinning... It's pretty dark, and we're kind of far away. Maybe we're not seeing something?

Um, sorry, had to go there :) I find it interesting that I didn't even notice until you pointed it out. And yes, I have to agree, I'm very interested in the whole "progression of the gate design" history of the ancients. I wonder if we'll ever learn more?
