So, last night I watched Dateline, which had a segment by Tom Brokaw (who I just love) on global warming.

Hmm.

If I come to visit any of you soon, I'll be bringing one of those compact fluorescent lightbulbs as a host gift.

Costco has a set of 6 for $3 - if you come visit us, I'll take you to buy a stockpile for your host gifts. :)

(We have them in every lamp in the house that will take them.)

Good gift! :) We're slowly replacing all our regular ones w/ those - about 75% of the house has them now. There's just the little lamp in the living room and the lamp on the back porch that have normal bulbs that refuse to die, and the bathroom light which is kinda sketchy and I'm scared to remove the bulbs in it even when they do die...

My parents have one in their living room that casts light that makes everyone look like they have liver problems. Other than that, I like those sorts of light bulbs.
