Now I stop to think about it, this is the last General Election in which I can't vote... *shivers*

I read "Sobre la dignidad del género fantástico", and it's so right. If anyone sees an adult reading fantasy, or sci-fi, you can be sure they will be catalogued as immature or something. One of my favorite writers, Laura Gallego, makes only fantasy, and in EVERY interview, she's asked why and when she'll abandon for more serious topics, as if it was something that will eventually make her get tired.

If I was Gallego, I would answer "Because that's what sells... and what the little birdies that nest in my hair twitt me to do,"

I bet that she would prefer to have an intelligent interviewer who had actually read her books to ask her why she used that plot device or what were her reasons for narrating from a multiple point of view, or what does she think about Japan killing the whales.

...not that I'd be one of those intelligent interviewers, as I've never read anything by her. What's her fantasy kink?
