Very nice. You did a great job of keeping both Sam and Hammond in character but still giving us a story with some very nice, very sweet interaction. Touching, but not at all sappy. A very tricky piece excellently executed.

Yes, yes, yes. THIS is how I see Hammond and his feelings toward Sam, Pop#2 and the best Valentine's 'stuff' I ever got was from my Dad :D

I felt for Sam though.. and we know there is a little space in that heart for love, canon and all that :D

I can see them after the girls have gone to bed, tipsy on whisky and having a good laugh about.. other Colonels ;D
