You could try Ouroboros by amaranthtraces. If you like it, she's got a bunch of others, though none quite so long.

As for the FanFic - I'll rec Jess' fic A Tale of Spilled Coffee. One of my favourite SD Fics especially since it completely AU. I'd also like to rec Alliances of The Heart (http://www.stargate-horizons.com/soulmates/alliance_heart_index.html) by Maureen Thayer. It's fourteen chapters and another favourite of mine.
