i'm not grumping here. just pointing out my dislike of the whole "ignore something until famous people are affected by it" approach that the media takes.
and in this peter jennings situation, the worst part is we already KNOW all this stuff about lung cancer. we don't need peter jennings to remind us, sad and influential (?) as his death is. he's just another dead guy, now. i feel for his family, but i do not sympathize with the 'grieving american public.' we can make more newscasters.

Nothing is important unless it happens to a "celebrity" because most people we worship them like gods. THis explains why there are ads asking people to blog for cancer w/ depack chopra and mary hart!
man I restarted my router--kicking Nathan's computer off the network--and now I'm speeding along again in true DSL mode. I am going to have to talk to that boy about his bandwidth usage.
