Home Again, Home Again (Uijeongbu Edition)

View from the roof of my apartment building, Sunday afternoon

I'm so glad to be back in Uijeongbu. While it's currently raining buckets with the occasional peal of thunder and flash of lightning - residue from Typhoon Morakot passing by to the south - the weather was fantastic over the weekend, giving me the chance to snap the picture above. There's also a lot of construction going on in the city, which I hope to write more about a little later in the week. To go along with that should be entries on another two UNESCO Cultural Heritage Sites in Korea that I recently went to see, a horrible effort at promotion from the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO), a painting that went missing in Japan during the 1930s only to turn up in a Korean museum, and wanting to punch my friend in the face for trying to steal from a 산신 (mountain spirit) shrine.

Plenty to keep me busy, it seems.
