So I consider myself a pretty good person. I am proud of my character and do my best to maintain it. I am a very honest person (sometimes to honest), if you don't want an answer to something asking me is a bad idea. I don't say anything about anyone that I wouldn't admit to or tell them myself. I don't talk shit about my "friends" behind their back

Sorry, man. I'll keep a much closer watch on those things that I might say to which you'll respond "SHUT UP, MAN!" through your teeth. :-)
Seriously, though, I'd just let the person know how I felt about it and then go on from there. I wouldn't lower myself to that person's level by reciprocating, nor would I worry myself too much about it, 'cause in the long run, one person's opinion of me, a person who obviously has some problems of his or her own, isn't all that important and I know me better than that person ever will.
I realize that I've oversimplified that a bit, and it's a whole lot easier said then done (especially with me, considering I'm extremely conflict-avoidant), but that's the way I would go about it.
