Nice list, especially the last one. I don't have any specific goals in mind, yet.

By the way, I'm Kara. I can't remember if I wrote that in the friending meme... though I must have :/

Do you really hate the True Blood books? I love them :) They're not great literature, but they're a lot of fun.

Hi Kara! I'm Hannah, and I couldn't help but noticing you are also from Australia. I always need more flisters from the motherland :).

As a writing student, I just read the books and saw all the little things that are ingrained in me not to do. I just read up to #4 because of the Eric/Sookie goodness and then stopped. They're fucking addictive, though, I'm not gonna lie. Besides the show is just SO GOOD the books pale a little bit. I do enjoy the sexytime, though. I read them at the same time as my bff, and she's all "Did you read the bit with the - and the - when Bill -" and I'm like, "Oh yeah. Yeah."

You're a writing student?! *high five* And I know what you mean, because I felt it too, but I still got sucked into the story. And I read the Twilight books first, so these were a definite step up. Lol.

I read the first book before I saw season 1, then the next four or five before I saw season 2, so that definitely impacted on how I feel about the books versus show... I love the show (especially the changes they've made to minor characters like Laffy and Jason), but I prefer the books. I can't tell you how many times I wanted to throw something at the screen when I watched season 2. Hahaha.

I have not faced Twilight - I've heard this is a problem. I haven't read bad enough driven to compare it to.

The main thing I read in the books that I didn't see on the show (and that I really wanted to see!) was Eric pretending to be a gay human. With lycra. God, I would pay.
