I hadn't seen that, but I did see a clip from a con of Jensen demonstrating his acting on Days of Our Lives. It was awesome.

I've never watched Days of Our Lives, but I have seen some soap operas and I can imagine the overly dramatic acting. Sam and Dean's voices are spot on in this story, and I could believe something this crazy--their kind of crazy--happening in the show. (Monster Movie is my favorite episode.) I would love to see another part to this where Sam's brain analyzes this to death, wondering why the shifter chose to use Dean's face, wondering when the shifter saw Dean, and how it had escaped. However, having said that, what you have here is a complete package. I wish I had the ability to put so much story into a compact space and have it be a complete story as well.

This is awesome. I've never before considered the idea that Dean might have secretly gone on Days of Our Lives. Although, considering the timeline, it would have been while Sam was still in high school, which actually makes the idea way more hilarious.

And as someone who has seen very few eps of DOOL, can I just say that Sami Brady is my favourite for absolutely no good reason as far as I can tell.

Thanks. I have a warped brain. One of my lurking plot bunnies is about Sam discovering he wasn't on a scholarship at all, and Dean supported his education by acting on various shows (Dark Angel seems appropriately awesome, but Dawson's Creek would be funnier).

I have never actually watched a whole episode of DOOL, but I was watching clips on Youtube. At first I was horrified, but I soon realised it was wildly entertaining, and if it was screened here, I would probably be sucked in.

You live in New Zealand, right? They show it here in Australia in the middle of the day. I used to be able to catch it if I got to go home from school early.

I watched some clips of Jensen on DOOL on YouTube. Sam would indeed give Dean grief for years if he saw Dean on TV in this role. But boy, Jensen was totally gorgeous at that age, and it probably was a good place to learn his craft. Your fic was very funny.

Thanks. I agree, he was beautiful at that age, but truthfully I prefer him now. Although it is a very close race. I've only watched a few clips of Days of Our Lives, but I was in serious danger of being sucked in and finding myself watching all the episodes with Jensen in them.
