My shameful fame in the family started when I managed to get my first (and only) alcohol poisoning at the tender age of 18 months during a family celebration! Suffice to say after that the family had enough sense to never leave a small child in the company of lots of glasses of alcoholic beverages in interesting colors without supervision, even for the 2 minutes I needed to down them all
I have a miniature pinscher named Fletcher, 2 years old, who has decided, during this cold spell we're having, to avoid walks. This he does (according to his tiny brain) by prempetively peeing and pooping in the bathroom. So I spend more time than I'd like cleaning the bathroom floor. Then I haul him around my NYC neighborhood--little bastard is amazingly strong and keeps planting himself on the sidewalk, refusing to budge.
I like cereal, but I like waffles better. No powdered sugar, please!
What a naughty dog! At least it's the bathroom and not on the carpet. We had a foxy that we always had to pick up and carry when we took her on walks at the beach, because the sand got in her eyes.
MMM waffles. I have only ever had waffles a few times (they are not such a big thing over here), but they were delicious.
I am a barely 22 year old, so you could say I am a kid by almost everyone's standards here? Just few months here on Lj and still learning the ropes. Doing Bachelors in computer science and would be done with it this noon. Am in love with animation and books, loads n loads n loads of books. I technically haven't gotten any other gift then novels on Christmas eve for last 14 years actually. Am way to shy. Though heaven forbid, I suffer from diarrhea of mouth now and then.
Welcome fellow 22 year old. Wow, no gifts other than books? I get sadly few books for Christmas, although I did get two this year. I get tons of DVDs.
I graduated from uni last year with a Bachelor of Science (Biological Sciences) and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and have not been able to find a job, so am going back this year to do a graduate diploma.
DVDs huh? I have all my folks and friends terrified into buying me books, they sometimes threaten me saying they are gonns stuff dildos in my novels. A stupid fact- I am well known at the only book store in my district. Lolz guess I am a big geek that way. The store owner, knows what books I have already read and I am actually allowed to take books freely and pay on my next visit, coz I do return there every two weeks. On career front I am on a same boat I guess. just few months left for my training to be completed last shot of this year to get a job If I can't its gonna be master's degree for me then.
PS-I always wanted to study psychology, sadly my folks back here weren't with me on this decision.. :(
Wow, sounds like you're a serious reader. I can never bring myself to buy books new unless I've already read them, or they're by an author I like. What if I pay $30 and it's not good? Libraries and second-hand bookshops for me all the way.
My parents weren't on board with me doing just psych, and I'm really glad I did the science degree as well. There's not a huge amount you can do with a psych degree if you don't want to be a clinical psychologist, and there's a lot of weirdos in the field. I really enjoyed all my psych papers, though.
