i got CPK and saw sweeny todd the other night with lauren
cpk: good
sweeny todd: still my least favorite musical ever, despite how much i care for tim burton and johnny depp.
i thought that it was just the version of sweeny todd that i had seen that made me think it was bad
but nope. it's just a bad show.
i guess i feel like sweeny todd is every goth kid's [or emogoth kid's] biggest fantasy, especially this version:
johnny depp in tim burton style goes on a killing spree backed by some of the most poorly written music and lyrics to ever hit broadway [in my opinion]
good lord, i can see the away messages now!
i also hate every kid like that who takes tim burton's style [which is good] and turns it into a goth/emo thing that i have to hate.
if you didn't love nightmare before christmas when it came out in '93, then shut up
[i would kill to still have my "bone daddy" sweatshirt i got when i was 5.]
hm. anyway. i mean i'm not hating on sweeny todd as a movie. i appreciate the fact that tim burton couldn't do everything he wanted to do.
i didn't really think the singing was all that great [with the exception of toby, anthony, and judge turpin ... all of which i thought were good].
but i mean i think everyone knew that going in.
and i appreciate tim burton's style.
i just hate the show.
um anyway
i went looking for dogs with liz the other day and saw sooo many cute and/or friendly dogs!
it makes me sad to think some dogs that are soooooooo nice won't get adopted just because they are older or not really cute :(
if i didn't already have 2 i would have snatched one up that's for sure haha.
liz found a dog she liked i hope she gets her!
i would love to have a pet at school. we can't have any pet as our lease says, but i wish we could. i would bring connor up in an INSTANT.
we were talking about getting some kind of pet and hiding it ... but we couldn't agree on anything. everyone is allergic and stuff. oh well.
lately i haven't felt very well :( which sucks because my time in virginia beach [which i like worlds more than my time in blacksburg] is coming to an end.
