I've gotten to the place where I ignore hwicce and Halb's political posts on CoE and KD. I might converse with them about other things but not politics. They are just too out there for me to find any common ground for us to talk about.

"out there" is a good term for it. I'm not sure if I put Halb even up there on the weird level of Hwicce... but perhaps because his arguments are not as logically sound even if they, like hwicce's arguments, are skewed by something totally alien as far as I can see.
