Weekend Synopsis (Scott's I'm Sure Will be Better)

Mar 01, 2005 12:36

I had a good weekend.

Friday Evening:
Frisbee with an awesome gal (jawdropper), followed by an hour of videogames and Azia with matrixboarder and some skeevy stoner ;-). Arrived in Seattle around 2 am. Ate spaghetti and crashed.

Saturday:
Drove around for a couple hours with a drug dealer and helped him move out of his old apartment into a new place. Preparations for festivities commenced.

Walked down to the Marina in Ballard and received call from an old friend. In order to greet said friend, an expedited return to the domicile was determined to be necessary. Our most hated enemy (the train) was the target of our exploitation. quadhome, kung_fu_mike, and myself decided that an illicit train ride would be the fastest method of returning to our place of residence. quadhome and myself deftly (and with much dexterity if I do say so myself) attached ourselves to the embodiment of evil. kung_fu_mike followed our lead, but was incapacitated by a frisbee held in one arm. Showing where his true loyalties lie, he refused to release the frisbee of great justice, and instead incurred several minor physical injuries (thank God they were only minor) as one arm was simply not enough.

Old friend, and an acquantence arrived and made the innocent suggestion that we take their racing cars out drifting. We found this proposal acceptable, and proceeded according to plan. After tires and minds are blown from the skill and grace (...and speed) of drifting, the time of the gathering arrived and we returned to greet the guests (read: ladies).

Still recovering from last weekend's shenanigans, I chose not to participate in chemical enhancements of any sort. Instead I tended to friends who perhaps enhanced themselves a bit too much. Other things happened this evening that I feel are not worth mentioning ("I'm going to hell.").

Sunday:
Woke up (too damn early if you ask me) and proceeded to eat Dim Sum at Sun Ya for absolutely no fee, thanks kung_fu_mike's parents!

Next we continued our journey to the Greenlake park where for many hours and with many peoples (whose names I can't possibly recall) we partook in the grand sport of Ultimate Frisbee. I will give props to all of Ting An's crew though, they were quite up to par.

After much time, we decided that the only way to top a day like this is by playing Tekken 5 for several hours. I must resist the urge to talk much about the game because its already becoming an obsession for me. Must...resist...

Finally, after being well fed, well vegetated, and damn well exhausted, we headed to make a token appearance at a beach "party" in Shoreline. As it turns out, the party was more of a private affair and less about partying and more about relaxing. It also turned out that we made more than a token appearance and stayed for a couple hours. This is completely fine with me. quadhome can feel free to fill in the details if he so wishes. Regardless, it was fun.

With the sun set and the smell of campfire on our clothes, we trekked once again toward the land of wheat. Not, of course, before we harassed some Nazi's however. Pity they were gone when we came back, as I was certainly up for some wall-bag practice.

And thus ended a wonderful(ly exhausting) weekend. Hopefully next weekend will greet us with a similar fate.
