I sat in my grandfather's room in the newly built "Assisted Living Center" located in Idaho Falls. The walls were painted a cheery yellow color, I guess to give the patron what little sunshine might be left in their bleak outlook on life. I sat in an old chair that came from his house, it's cushions were worn, the springs perhaps broken years ago. ( Read more... )

I loved this one too. Even though this is non-fiction.

Ah. Now you've got me wanting to exercise my writing. (Not here, on LJ, but I'll show you where if I get anything done.)

And oh, not to be nitpicky, and I'm only saying this to help you out (even though I'm sure you're aware of this rule), but it's "its" without the apostrophe, not "it's" unless it's a possession ("it's" = it is).
