Oh, so cute. I love it.
I really like how you designed the relationship between Ivan and Niko - you really should write more of they're interactions, their quite interesting imo. :D

And Niko's present is the cutest ever. Ivan has deserved to be included in this "family" and it somehow makes me sooo happy to know that he realizes this when Niko gives him such a present.

Huh... after I wrote this fic, I suddenly started re-thinking Niko and Ivan's relationship. Before this, it was supposed to be all awkward and Gilbo was supposed to be the flagrantly favored/better parent and Niko was just giving Ivan a present just because he "had" to. But now I'm not so sure that's the case, especially since I realized that it kind of goes against my characterization of Modern!Ivan. I'm still not so sure that Ivan knows how to entertain/take care of Nikolai as well as Gilbert does, but it can't be THAT bad. :/ Besides, when Gil seems to be "acting up," Niko's more than happy to stay at Mommy's house for a while. He just... brings a book or something... *shrug* For all the awkward little kerfluffles (and despite that note at the beginning of Niko sometimes wanting Anya to be his mommy instead), I'm sure that Niko still sees Ivan as his mommy. :'D Now, let's just see what happens when Niko accidentally calls Ivan 'Mommy' to his face... =7= Probably just a relieved anticlimax when Ivan is more ( ... )

Hn, difficult. But I don't think their relationship is >that< bad in this fic. It's just a little awkward.

I'm looking forward to see Niko with Ludwig. Will be interesting. :>
