35. Hunger
So, pratai_tratai has a 64-theme challenge posted on his journal. I saw that "hunger" was one of the prompts and promptly jumped on it, because everyone knows by now that my Gilbert is a glutton/comfort eater. :'D

In the first one I can imagine Gilbert scampering through the house, collecting everything eatable like a mouse. XD But it's rather serious, isn't it? I love the idea of wanting to fill the emptiness in him. It's so miserable...
And the second one is pure sugar. <3 It's like the whole scene takes places in front of a glitter background. *laugh*
Nice idea to show these two different types of Gilbert's hunger. That it can be something that makes him happy and unhappy.

Yes. That whole idea of being "empty" and having "nothing" was pretty central to Gilbert's whole breakdown in the first place. Now that I look at the picture again (and again durr hurr), it seems to fit the first promptfic a bit better, because back then it made sense for him to be cranky and fat and STILL EATING. XD Also, Gilbert coming up and looking like he swallowed a [large object here- my first thought was "looking like he swallowed a Russian," but that comes dangerously close to crossing the line in 50 different ways] used to be unusual, hence Ludwig's reaction. Now Ludwig just facepalms/facedesks while Gilbert laughs at him. XD Then again, Gilbert (supposedly) doesn't binge as much anymore, except for his periodic cases of the munchies/any time involving pancakes (and he says he's trying to fix that... right... sure...). At least he's in a better mood now. =w=
...A glitter background. Dear god no. Glitter is messy and gets everywhere. Ludwig would not approve. X'D
