“Let me guess.Fuery?”
Elysia laughed at their teacher. “Exactly.”
Sami looked at Elysia. So he really was here.
Mrs. T nodded. “I’ll deal with him later. But seriously girls, you’ve been in my band since your 6th grade year!”
The looked at her.
“How long have you been in the military?”
“Two years.” Elysia answered automatically.
“She works in investigations…” Sami offered.
“And you?” Mrs. T asked her.
“Me?” Sami blinked. “ I just work under my fathers subordinate and deal with sorting paper work, occasionally signing some, and giving the rest to Colonel Hawkeye, so she can get them to the others. I’m a state alchemist… like Elysia here…. So, when we’re needed, there’s of course field work..” Elysia nodding beside her.
Mrs. T sighed. “Now you tell me you’re alchemists? I thought I knew my band. Whats Fuery do?”
The girls laughed.
“He’s just part of the main library. Bookworm, he is. He’s still trying to improve his alchemy, but he says he’s going to be taking the alchemy exam in the spring.”
“So..three of you…alchemy?”
Elysia nodded. “Yes ma’am…”
Mrs. T waved her hand at them. “Go assemble your instrument Sami… Elysia, go catch up with her…. Leave me to let this all sink in.”
They nodded and left.
“SO?” Elysia asked as they walked towards the main area.
“So..?” Sami repeated.
“How was it?” She almost yelled.
“Almost boring.. I probably would have died… if I hadn’t of met James-“
“James? Spill. Now.”
“Holy crap..” Sami’s eyes grew wide. She hadn’t been expecting to get such a reaction to this. She had only said his name. Then again… this was a he. As in a guy…. Never mind.
“James… just James. He’s the son of someone Papa met in his and Uncle Al’s travels…”
“Winry had her baby.” Elysia said quickly.
“what?”
“Winry had her baby. A little girl.”
“No way..” Sami said her eyes shinning with excitement. “Serious? What’s her name? When was she born?”
“Her name? It’s Kairi.” Elysia nodded. “She was born August 22.”
“Kairi?Oh my gosh… I wanna see her!” Sami gushed. “Babies are so cute.. I wonder how Sleby’s doing..”
“Walking.” Elysia laughed.
Sami’s eyes once again grew wide. “I’m gone two weeks. Two weeks and everything! Everything Happens!”She cried dropping herself in Elysia’s seat.
Elysia nodded and sat on the floor next to her chair. “It’s been crazy…”
“What else has happened?”
“My mom thinks shes pregnant again..She’s not told daddy, because shes not sure…she told Me,Aunt Riza and Uncle Ed as we were helping him shop for baby clothes..since Uncle Roy doesn’t seem to like that to much….she said she just had to tell someone, and if she told daddy, he’d get so excited, and if she was wrong, it would break his heart….you know?” Sami nodded and Elysia continued. “There’s more interesting stuff going on at your house..but I can’t tell you that…Oh, don’t give me that look. You’ve just gotta wait til you get home. I’m sorry, Sami! It’s not my place!”
Sami nodded. She would just wait until she got home then.
“Hey, Elysia, what did Mrs. T want in her- Sami?”
Both girls looked up to reveal a boy with dark hair, blue green eyes and glasses. He had a spike going through one ear.
‘An earing..?’ Sami thought laughing mentally. ‘What is this…’
“Hey!” She waved to this new person not entirely sure who he was, or if she even knew him..
“Hey Haru, what’s up.”
Sami, who had been asembleing her flute, felt her head snap up. “Haru?” She cried throwing her arms around him…..she was careful not to smack the trumpet holding boy with her flute which she helf tightly in her right hand.
“Ahaha, Hey there shrimp, how yah been?”
Elysia siighed and began to pull her band stand to the side to prevent the use of any weapons as her friends eyes suddenly became overcome with an evil look….
