Wow. That was. Really boring.
It started out on a great note! I looooved creepy anatomy!mannequin. TOTALY brought back many memories of my anatomy classes. Those freakin things always looked scarier than the actual cadavers we were dissecting.
Then. Just. Blah.
A boring exposition-tastic conversation with Dean going "I Told You So" and Sam going "My Head Hurts". A nice creepy second!mannequin kill. Then really boring Ben/Lisa/Dean stuff. More boring ghost stuff. I mean, can't the writers think of a more clever twist? Yeah, the kidney thing was interesting, but that was like a two second payoff.
I actually really liked the Dean and Ben conversation, it was nice to see the kid that plays Ben having more than two words of dialogue. Also nice that he takes no bullshit from Dean.
Actually, in retrospect, the Ben/Lisa/Dean stuff was totally fine. I mean, from Lisa's perspective, Dean is kind of a shit. What the hell does he even want from them? Although, soooo didn't buy Dean's flasback through memory lane. They had to use stuff FROM THE CURRENT EPISODE because there isn't enough Dean/Lisa canon! That's just sad. But I think I was just more bored by the investigation stuff with Sam and it brought everything down. This episode just felt like the writers went, "Oh shit, we forgot about Ben and Lisa. Uh. Lets shoehorn a ghost sidestory to keep Sam out of the way for a bit so Dean can angst."
Also, I totally don't understand the resolution to the case. Did the sister stab herself in the kidney? If not, that was the most convenient shard of flying glass ever.
Wow. I think I may like this episode the least so far, and that's INCLUDING the shit-tastic episodes like the season premiere, vampire!Dean, and the baby one. At least stuff happened in those.
