going friends-only

so, in my wanderings around the internets today, and reading all kinds of stuff about teachers on the internet...i've decided to make this journal friends-only to protect myself from being denied teaching positions because principals are known to look for livejournals and myspaces. while most of what i've had to say recently is rather boring and ( Read more... )

well, i feel a little bad because i know a few people who read my journal that don't have livejournals...so now they're just out of luck. maybe this will entice them to get one! :)

you're so lucky. back when i went friends only, i had to do it manually. one entry at a time. it took weeks.

that's why i didn't do it ages ago...because i was just too lazy to put that much effort into it. but, now they've got it so that paid users just push a button. basic users still have to do it one at a time.

also, they have a "minimum security" setting where you go into the console and tell it that anything i post should automatically be friends-only...i don't have to change the security on my posts at all. did you know about that?

yes. i use semagic, so i just told it my default was friends only.

Hi, I would really be intereted in reading more of your journal. I am a behavior analyst living in pennsylvania. I noticed many similar interests: star wars, psych, animation are but a few.
