quick update

A has bulging discs in C3-C4, C4-C5 and C5-C6 to the tune of 4mm, 3mm and 1mm. I'm relieved that her arm pain/tingle/numbness is PHYSICAL rather than biochemical or biological re: stroke, neuropathy etc. She starts physical therapy next week after being evaluated this week.

Thank you, friend. She is in a lot of pain. One of those bulges is going inside into the canal. She starts PT this week but she can barely work (telephone lead operator) and she's stubborn enough not to take pain meds because they make her mind fuzzy and that is not productive OR safe at work. Her medical bills (left over from her stroke 2 years ago and ongoing diabetes related stuff coupled with no or lousy insurance) have forced her into bankruptcy in order to keep her foreclosed house. There's not much I can do except be supportive and provide information to help her make good decisions.

I too do not use pain meds much for the same reason as A. I hate the foggy head and find it very unsettling. I will take the pain med, if I am in tremendous pain. I am glad A has you for support and I know you have chronic conditions as well. I shall hold you both in the Light. God bless you.
