internet less at home

Did it. No DSL at home. Get some stuff like email on the crackberry. Posting will be shorter but longer with picture as I have to schedule time to find wifi or go to library. I tend to go to library at least once a week. It's an experiment.

You can save money, that's for sure. I was thinking of doing this, but I don't have a Blackberry or smartphone, so it would be tough. I also don't own a TV and I think I might go crazy without the web.

Definitely saving money. $75/mo for dsl and landline phone. I refused to "go digital" last year so haven't watched the telly in over a year. Used to watch some shows on the internet, but I find my time is spent elsewhere so I lost touch with Castle, Bones, etc. I do have the crackberry and I have use of the internet at work for news, etc; so it is not exactly cold turkey. We'll see if I can survive.

*envy*

Not something I can do what with running a home based internet business, but something I wish for regularly: like going home to the twentieth century!

I hope it works out for you.

Yes, the home internet is essential to your work life!

I found myself mindlessly plopping down in fron of the laptop to read through blogs or lolcats of failbook and waste hours. I do find things to do other than watch the telly like hiking, snuggling with Alexa, reading, home improvements, the garden, sitting outsaide watching the sun set, etc. I think it'll work out for the best.
