Well I've just heard that Harry Potter v is coming out. And yes that means that there will be a lot of Christians up in arms. And to an extent I do agree to them, but only to an extent

uggh* I know so many who have freaked out over Harry Potter. Really now. I read all of the books and I thought they were really cute. The kids have seen the movies too. Now I can kind of see where some get freakish about it because of the simple fact that it is about witchcraft, and that opens up a door for unclean spirits to come in. Yeah,I believe this too. So that must make me into one of those people that are halfway in between on the thinking of it. I read the books and they are silly. Thats where I guess it does differ for every kid, because although we own Harry Potter, only Shannon is allowed to watch them, because the other two will imitate.
I understand about the Power Ranger thing too, my kids aren't allowed to watch that either, nor are they allowed to do Karate or any form of martial art. I guess it's a boy thing.
What gets me about my sister in law is the fact that she is so hypocritical, the games James Bond is really gory and violent, yet he isn't allowed to watch things like willy wonka which has no violence just make believe characters as in the oompa loompa's, when I asked her why, she said becuase they aren't real and she doesn't want her children watching anything thats not real. I asked her if she had let her kids see Chicken little, she said yes, I said but Chicken's can't talk, it's not real? I just get soooo very annoyed with hypocrisy lol. Hence she made it into my rant.
