I fully intend to. One of my friends wants to know whether it will be 'too scary'. I don't know what she means by that, but would you say that this had kind of a horror movie vibe?

It's less horror and more shock. Think people being gruesomely dissected versus people just exploding like ketchup packets. District 9 is the latter. It's extremely intense regardless.
