Obama advancing faith-based programs and paying women less

A friend posted this on her journal, and I wanted the opinions of those on my f-list:

Also, apparently there is a CBS news article on how Obama's legislation for equal job payment favors minorities and pays women less.

Read this through and wondered where the bit about paying women less was? I mean is it reducing women's pay or the consistent failure to address the pay gap ( ... )

No, no, that is another article by CBS news, and I couldn't be bothered to look it up again and post the link. Unless, did you do the search and find it on CBS News?

But, I love your comments re: religion. Will write more later when not at Bod.

Here is the article and, unless I missed it, I did not find any such legislation mentioned.

Gosh, not particularly nuanced or neutral reporting, that.

Honestly, I'm not surprised he's bringing his faith forward a bit more - apparently 25% of the country is still convinced he's a practicing Muslim. Not that having a Muslim president would be a bad thing, but I can see why he's trying to get the facts straight. How 25% of the country still think this after Jeremiah Wright is beyond me.

Edit: Obviously, 25% of the country is a wild me-making-up-statistics thingie without recorded proof, but the right-wing blogosphere appears to be able to find individuals who think that without too much problem with depressing frequency.
